A 15-year-old woman visited our hospital because of an abnormal chest X-ray. Chest imaging revealed a tumor of around 8 cm with calcification in the right lower lobe of the lung. Because there were no abnormalities in any other organs, a right lower lobectomy was performed, and the patient was diagnosed with pulmonary chondroma. Pulmonary chondroma in young women may be found in conjunction with gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) and extraadrenal paraganglioma, a condition known as Carney's triad. No tumors other than pulmonary chondroma were found at the time of treatment, but careful follow-up was required because other tumors may have developed subsequently.
