A 59-year-old man was referred to our hospital because of cervical lymphadenopathy. Chest-computed tomography showed a nodular shadow on the left upper lobe of the lung, and cervical and mediastinal lymphadenopathy. Biopsy specimens from the left posterior cervical lymph node revealed adenocarcinoma of the lung. He was treated with carboplatin with pemetrexed followed by pemextred alone for six months. However, cerebral infarction occurred, and he was diagnosed with Trousseau syndrome associated with lung adenocarcinoma. He received anticoagulation with heparin by subcutaneous injection and nivolumab monotherapy for 11 months. Although Trousseau syndrome is associated with a poor prognosis, the administration of heparin and nivolumab was successful in controlling the condition in this particular case.
