ABSTRACT

A 70-year-old man who underwent proximal gastrectomy for gastric cancer at the age of 62 presented to our hospital with progressive cough and chest abnormality. Chest computed tomography showed centrilobular nodules and mild bronchiectasis, along with nodular opacities in the peribronchovascular bundles, peripleura, and thickening of the interlobular septum. Histological findings of video-assisted thoracoscopic lung biopsy showed foreign body granuloma with mononuclear infiltration around the respiratory bronchioles, and a diagnosis of diffuse aspiration bronchiolitis was established. This case revealed highly suggestive contents for coexisting atypical radiological shadow.
